Ariel practices in Civil and Commercial Litigation and Constitutional Law and also in the area of Trusts Law, Banking, and Corporate and Commercial.
He founded the firm in 1981. Ariel is the most senior advocate in the Turks and Caicos Islands and has extensive experience in Turks and Caicos and also in England appearing as an advocate in various appeals before the Privy Council.
Ariel is a former TCI Government Minister and a former Governor’s appointed member of the TCI Legislative Assembly. He is a member of the Honorable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, a member of the International Bar Association, the International Tax Planning Association, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the Offshore Institute. In 2000 he was awarded an OBE for his services to the Islands and was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2002 in recognition of his excellence and experience as an advocate.
He has published numerous articles and is a regular speaker at international conferences on TCI financial and corporate matters.
EDUCATION / PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Ariel is a graduate of the University of West Indies and the Inns of Court School of Law (London). He was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1979 and to the Bar of the Turks and Caicos Islands in 1980.
