Just 14 months after the launch of the Tax practice group, Pekin & Pekin, TerraLex member firm for Turkey, has been named International Tax Review’s Tax Firm of the Year.

A coveted award, this is the first time a Turkish law firm has won, signalling a change in the market and the quality of legal services on offer.  Judges were impressed by the Tax team’s dual tax accounting and legal expertise, its groundbreaking work in the tax structuring of novel cross-border financing and the innovative use of the law in tax optimisation strategies.  

The award follows Pekin & Pekin’s regaining the title International Financial Law Review’s Turkish Law Firm of the Year 2010 in March and Project Finance’s Metals Deal of the Year in April.
