The Private Equity Practice Group is comprised of attorney members who represent private equity investors and the companies in which they invest. The attorneys in this group have a long, strong presence in the worldwide private equity community. They represent private equity participants and venture capitalists in fund formation, portfolio investments, and throughout all phases of the investment cycle. They also represent private equity-backed companies in all aspects of their business, including mergers & acquisitions, recapitalizations, debt financings, employment matters (including employee equity plans), technology licensing and protection, strategic relationships, corporate governance, initial and follow-on public offerings and PIPES deals. They are experienced in the types of issues private-equity backed companies confront in such transactions.

In recent years, the private equity markets have become increasingly international and cross-border. The Private Equity Practice Group members provide invaluable assistance to clients who are investing in foreign jurisdictions, or who are receiving investments from abroad. They help clients know what to expect when engaged in a cross-border private equity transaction and how to avoid common pitfalls and mistakes.
