The objective of the Toxic Tort subgroup will be to foster communication and the exchange of ideas and information among TerraLex members about litigation related to alleged exposures to toxic or dangerous substances. The subgroup consists of TerraLex members who have a practice related to such toxic tort litigation and is also open to TerraLex members who simply have an interest in the practice area.

The TerraLex members within the subgroup have the opportunity to exchange ideas and information about national, regional and local toxic tort issues. The members will benefit from having the chance to pose questions to other TerraLex members, learn about how courts in other jurisdictions handle particular issues, discuss research being conducted and studies produced, exchange ideas about expert and other witnesses, learn about verdicts in other jurisdictions and trial tactics, communicate about proposed legislation, and discuss toxic tort issues in general. By providing a forum through which toxic tort issues can be discussed and ideas exchanged, TerraLex members will have the opportunity to further develop their toxic tort expertise.
