Rifat Rahman

Rifat Rahman is a Barrister-at-Law who had been called to the Bar of England and Wales on July 2017 by The Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn. Soon passing the Bar, he returned to Bangladesh and joined the top-tier law firm, Mahbub & Company as an ‘Associate Barrister’. Prior to his Bar degree, he obtained his Post Graduate Diploma (PgDL) in Legal Studies from City, University of London, UK, LLM Degrees from BPP University, UK and LLB (Hons) from London South Bank University, UK. He specializes in Corporate and Commercial litigation, documentation and advice, banking and finance, company formation and restructuring (including Startups) and regulatory compliance of Multi National Companies (MNCs). Rifat also works as a Part-Time Lecturer at London College of Legal Studies (South), one of the leading legal education institute in Bangladesh and teaches international students of BPP University and University of London in Bangladesh.

His major during his Bar Training were on Fraud and Financial Crime, and Company Law. During his LLM, he specialized in the Financial Regulation and Compliance of UK and comparative Fraud and Financial Crime under the supervision of Professor Barry Rider and Professor Stuart Bazely.

At Mahbub & Company, Rifat has a particular expertise in the Company, Criminal, Judicial Review, Foreign Investment (Setting Up Business), Immigration & Asylum and Employment matters. At the firm, under the supervision of Barrister A.M.
